Blacks and Latinos in Conflict and Cooperation: Writing Race in L.A., a panel of writers at the University of Southern California

March 9, 2009: Renowned writers discussed Black and Latino/a relations in Los Angeles and the intersections of the arts, politics, urban conflict and coalition in this Visions and Voices event. The panel featured authors Hector Tobar, Dana Johnson and Helena Maria Viramontes and was moderated by journalist Erin Aubry Kaplan. The event was organized by Josh Kun (Communication and American Studies and Ethnicity), Laura Pulido (American Studies and Ethnicity) and USCs Center for Diversity and Democracy.
